Barred Items

·     Any item like textual material (printed  or  written),  bits  of  papers,  Geometry/Pencil  Box,  Plastic  Pouch,  Calculator,  Pen,  Scale,  Writing  Pad,  Pen  Drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner,  etc

  1. Any communication    device    like    Mobile    Phone,    Bluetooth,    Earphones,    Microphone, Pager, Health Band,  etc
  2.  Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap,  etc.
  3. Any Watch/Wristwatch, Bracelet, Camera, etc
  4. Any ornaments/metallic items.
  5. Any food items opened or packed, water bottle,  etc
  6. Any other item which could be used for unfair means, by hiding communication devices like a microchip, camera, Bluetooth device,  etc

[Note:  Any  applicable  order  of  Hon’ble  Supreme  Court/High  Courts  will  be  followed  in  this regard].

No arrangement will be made at the Centres for keeping any articles/items belonging to the candidates.

The  candidates  wearing  articles  or  objects  of  faith  (customary/  cultural/  religious  )  should report at the examination centre atleast two hours before the last reporting time so that there is enough time for proper frisking without any inconvenience to thecandidate  while  maintaining  the  sanctity  of  the  examination.  If  upon  screening,  it  is  discovered that any candidate is actually carrying a suspected device within such item of faith, he/ she may be asked not to take it into the examination hall.

In  case  any  candidate  is  found  in  possession  of  any  of  the  barred  items  inside  the  Centre, it will be considered as an Unfair Means case and action will be taken against the candidate in accordance with the relevant provisions. The candidates are instructed to follow the following dress code while appearing for NEET (UG) -  2021:a.Light  clothes  with  long  sleeves  are  not  permitted.  However  in  case,  candidates  come in cultural/ customary dress at the Examination Centre, they should report at least an hour before the last reporting time i.e. 12.30 pm so that there is enough

Dress Code

NEET 2021 dress code for male candidates

  1. As per the COVID 19 safety guidelines, candidates must wear a mask and gloves.
  2. As per the NEET dress code, male candidates should ensure that they wear half sleeve shirts/T-shirts as full sleeve shirts are not allowed on the day of the examination.
  3. Clothes worn by male candidates should be light i.e zip pockets, pockets, big buttons and clothes with elaborate embroidery should not be there.
  4. Trousers and simple pants are a preferred NEET dress code 2021 for male candidates. Kurta pajama is not allowed.
  5. Shoes are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. It is advisable that candidates wear sandals and chappal with a thin sole.

 

NEET dress code for female 2021

  1. Female candidates must also wear a mask and gloves as per COVID 19 safety guidelines set by the authority.
  2. Female candidates are advised not to wear clothes that have elaborate embroidery, flowers, brooches, or buttons as this is prohibited in the NEET dress code for female 2021 specified by NTA.
  3. No clothes with full arm-length sleeves should be worn on the day of examination. Following the dress code of NEET 2021, female candidates should wear half sleeve clothes.
  4. Jeans with big pockets and fashionable will generally not be allowed for females as per the NTA NEET dress code. So, female aspirants, are advised to avoid wearing jeans on NEET 2021 exam day.
  5. Leggings are not allowed in NEET 2021
  6. Palazzo is not allowed in NEET 2021 as per the dress code for female
  7. It is best to avoid high heels and thick sole shoes and instead opt for sandals or slippers. Low heel footwear is also allowed.
  8. Female candidates must avoid wearing any kind of jewelry like earrings, nose rings, rings, pendants, necklaces, bracelet or anklets. Metal detectors may cause an unnecessary hassle if the metal is found on the person.

NEET dress code 2021- Customary Dress

Candidates who follow a certain religion that prescribes a customary dress can appear for NEET 2021 in their customary dress. As per the Delhi High Court order, Sikh candidates will be allowed to carry traditional kangha, kara, Kirpan with them. Female candidates are also allowed to wear burkha. These items will be considered by the authorities as to the customary dress.

At the time of filling NEET application form 2021, candidates will be asked whether they wish to wear the customary dress which contradicts NEET 2021 dress code, an image for reference is provided below. Here, they must indicate that they wish to wear a customary dress. However, to help the exam conducting authority conduct the security checks smoothly, the candidate must report at least an hour before (12:30 PM) the reporting time. It is advisable for candidates to follow the dress code of NEET carefully to avoid 'unfair means' or misconduct charges against them.
